Twitter-account ‘Deugwel’(@ToonVissers1) is automatisch gekoppeld aan de website ‘deugd.net’. Deugwel is voornamelijk in de Nederlandse taal en blijft als zodanig in de lucht.
Hij gaat zich van nu af aan meer concentreren op deugden en karaktervorming. Voorheen was de account gemengd met informatie over andere ethische onderwerpen, zoals mensenrechten, vrede, Verenigde Naties en wereldreligies.
Voor die laatste onderwerpen is nu een aparte Twitter-account aangemaakt onder de naam ‘world ethics’ (@AntoniusVissers)
Die wordt in het Engels gepubliceerd.
Het zou fijn zijn, als je dat al niet gedaan hebt, je op één of allebei deze Twitter-accounts te abonneren en de website te raadplegen. Het loont de moeite je te laten inspireren door deugd- en wereldethiek. Moderne wetenschappers zijn het met de Vader van de deugden, de Griekse wijsgeer Aristoteles, eens, dat deugdbeoefening een belangrijke bron van authentiek geluk is. Verder horen niet alleen personen maar ook organisaties en landen hoogstaand ethisch gedrag te tonen.

Until now Twitter-account ’Deugwel’ was automatically linked to website ‘deugd.net’. ‘Deugwel’ was mainly in Dutch and will continue to be in the air. This account will henceforth focus on character building and virtues. Heretofore the account provided also information on other ethical subjects like human rights, peace, United Nations and world religions. For these subjects a separate Twitter-account is now being established, namely ‘world ethics’.
It would be good, if you haven’t done so already, to subscribe to one or both of these Twitteraccounts and consult the website. It is rewarding to be inspired by virtue- and world ethics. Modern scientists agree with the Father of virtues, the Greek philosopher Aristoteles, that practicing virtues an important source of authentic happiness is. Furthermore, not only persons, but also organisations and countries should practice and promote outstanding ethical behavior.
